Yoga therapy has helped to keep my spinal stenosis and sciatica issues at bay. From time to time I need a “tune up” to help my muscles relax. I always get relief, and I am grateful !

  • Yoga Therapy is easy, accessible, and adaptable for adults of all ages and levels.

  • In Yoga Therapy/Embodyment® the therapist acts as a catalyst, assisting in the release of deeply held tension. It is slow paced with the therapist doing most of the work, propping you and adjusting you to receive the maximum benefit. Release begins at the lower spine and radiates up and through the entire body. This process activates your own power to heal. Each session is equivalent to 6 - 8 yoga classes.

  • Please wear soft, comfortable clothing for your session.  Avoid blue jeans and other stiff, thick fabrics such as velvet or corduroy.

  • A session is 50 minutes in length.

  • All yoga therapy has cumulative benefits. At your first session, your yoga therapist typically makes a recommendation for the number and frequency of sessions to address your needs. Generally you receive more benefit when you participate in a series of sessions. This gives your body a chance to learn how to integrate and maintain the changes. The process is greatly enhanced by a regular Svaroopa® daily home yoga practice.

  • Currently, Maria Sichel is offering yoga therapy sessions. You can contact her directly to schedule an appointment today!
